Active Company Antwerp takes ‘Pride in sports’ and offers active sports for LGBTQIA+ people and all those who support us. You need to be at least 18 years of age to participate in activities or to become a member.
At fixed dates, we can be found at sports halls, swimming pools and other locations in the Antwerp area, depending on the sport. One Sunday every month, you can join us on a biking or hiking trip to the most beautiful natural areas in the wide region. Besides the 10 sports we offer, there are also the weekly rehearsals of our choir ‘Pink Noise’.
You decide how often and when to participate in whichever activity. As a member, you will have access to every activity, always at reduced members’ rates. From total beginners to star players (well ...), we have them all. We welcome everyone.
If you are interested, we suggest you simply stop by. Participating a first time in any activity is free of charge and of any membership obligation.
Don’t just exercise, socialise! If you’re up for it, you can join your team members at (inter)national tournaments, on weekend trips, ski trips or a night out on the town, at our regularly held bar nights (BarACA), or for drinks and conversation after the usual activity. Never a dull moment with our more then 450 members!
By participating in the activities offered by Active Company Antwerp vzw, the participant automatically accepts Active Company Antwerp vzw's privacy statement and general disclaimer as determined in the articles of association of Active Company Antwerp vzw (in Dutch) and the internal regulations (in Dutch).

Are you new at Active Company Antwerp?
- Everyone - including non-members - pays each time they participate in an activity. As a member you do get a hefty discount through the sports punch card system. You will find the prices per activity under 'What does participation at Active Company Antwerp cost' further down this page.
- Do you like sports at Active Company Antwerp? Then don't hesitate to become a member! As a member you are insured and you pay a lot less each time you participate.
- The annually renewable membership starts January 1st (or the membership fee payment date, if later) and ends December 31st.
- You become a member by registering AND paying your membership fee. You will find all the information about this below.
How do I join?
Online on our website by pressing the button below, filling in the registration form and paying your membership fee.
You are responsible for adjusting your registration data in the event of changes (address, e-mail, mobile number, medical data, etc.): you can login therefor on our site using the Login option in the menu under 'Members'.
How do I renew my membership?
Online on this website by logging in with your member profile (via the menu 'members'=>login') and paying your membership fee for the new year online. You can extend your membership from December 1st on and it must be paid no later than January 31 of the new year if you want to keep your sports insurance without interruption.
Please note: we no longer accept membership fee payments via bank transfer, Payconiq, cash, etc. Only online via this website. The registration of the payment of your membership fee is now automated.
Types of membership.
- Standard membership - € 30,00 for a whole calendar year
- Membership 1/7 to 31/12 - € 21,00 for those who join from July 1st
- Supporting membership - € 55.00 for a whole calendar year
Young adult discount (< 26 years old)
- Anyone under 26 will receive a youth discount in the form of a free sports punch card (worth € 20.00).
- Anyone under 26 at the date of registration or of the payment to extend the membership is eligible.
What do I get for my membership fee?
- Once your membership fee for the current year has been paid, you can participate in all regular Active Company Antwerp activities at reduced members’ rates
- Discount on most additional Active Company Antwerp activities (parties, ‘ActivExtra’ activities, weekend trips, etc.)
- Sporta-Federatie accident insurance during Active Company Antwerp activities. We will register you upon payment of the membership fee.
- The chance to make lots of new friends!
The health insurance fund will reimburse part of your membership fee!
Each year, the health insurance funds reimburse part of your membership fee. For more information about the reimbursed amount and the application procedure, we refer to the website of your health insurance fund.
The required reimbursement form will now come from Sporta:
- ACA will send the reimbursement form to the email address in your Sporta profile before the end of March, for all members who paid their membership fee for the current year by that time. So make sure that your details at Sporta are correct in time!
- Members who pay their membership fee later on, will receive the reimbursement form shortly afterwards.
- You can update your profile information on the Sporta portal .

Discount on sports punch card
Would you like to regularly participate in our activities, but are you struggling financially? In that case, Active Company Antwerp will refund you part of the purchase price of your own sports punch cards.
What does this reimbursement entail?
- We shall grant this reimbursement to everyone who is entitled to preferential reimbursement of health care services by their health care fund.
- This year, the reimbursement has been set at 50 % of the purchase price of sports punch cards you buy for proper use.
First time… it’s on the house!
You read that right: every activity is free the first time*… It is your 'free trial' to get acquainted with the offer of Active Company Antwerp.
* Excludes activities where it is stated that this rule does not apply. The 'free trial' is in principle limited to the permanent activities of Active Company VZW. The 'free trial' offer certainly does not apply to: parties, activities under the ActivExtra series, special weekends...
Cost per activity
Active Company Antwerp works with a sports punch card as a payment system. These sports punch cards can only be purchased on site from the cashier at each activity. A sports punch card costs € 20 and consists of 20 cutting squares of € 1 each. Only Active Company Antwerp members can buy and use a sports punch card. You can pay for all our activities with the same punch card.The sports punch card is paid by scanning the QR-code using your bank app or the Payconiq app. At some sports, it’s still possible to pay in cash. Non-members are also allowed to participate occasionally.

What is included in the price?
The price includes the fee for the use of the hall, the sports equipment and the necessary professional guidance. Insured participation in the activities is only possible by paying the membership fee in advance and registering with the Sports Federation. Anyone who regularly participates in an activity must become a member of Active Company Antwerp.
Insurance
As an Active Company Antwerp member, you will be insured while exercising through the Sporta sports insurance. For new members, ACA will handle your Sporta registration upon payment of your membership fee and after activation of your membership. Sporta will send you a confirmation email about this, which will also contain your Sporta credentials.
What does this insurance cover?
- As a member you are insured for all sports and non-sports related activities organised by Active Company Antwerp as a club, including in a foreign country.
- You will be insured at all times around the globe during jogging, hiking, biking(including at events, but not during competitions), swimming, hitting the gym, roller blading and practising yoga on an individual base.
- The Sporta Team sports insurance does not include an excess. This means that all eligible costs will be reimbursed, even small amounts.
- The medical and pharmaceutical costs after a sports-related accident are reimbursed by your sports insurance. You may even receive compensation if your glasses were damaged (in case of a head injury).
- Costs aren’t capped for procedures recognised by the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance after physical injuries.
- You’re able to seek compensation until 3 years after your sports injury.
