Meet your Benelux water polo bros, hoes, unicorns and everything in between this summer in Antwerp.
Join us from Friday June 14th 18:45 until Sunday June 16th 2024 for:
- a 2h sunset outdoor training on Friday evening
- Friday night drinks @ Sint Anneke beach
- a 4h mixed tournament including snacks on Saturday afternoon
- Saturday night dinner and party
- Optional: a cultural LGBTQ+ program on Saturday
- Optional: brunch on Saturday or Sunday morning
Want to join? We look forward to seeing you in Antwerp! Participation is on a first come first serve basis in coordination with your Club Leaders. We have a maximum capacity of 60 people and aim for a balance between the 3 clubs. Please beware before filling out the subcription form that we will ask you some detailed questions related to the detailed info described further on on this page (regarding transport, accommodation and options), read yourself into it before starting the subscription.

How much? We expect the base price to be maximum €80 for players and €55 for partners.
Included in the base price: one training, one mixed tournament, snacks on Friday night, snacks during the tournament on Saturday, €15 worth of drinks and dinner on Saturday night. Not included in the base price: any other food or drinks, optional activities, hotel, transportation.

Drink vouchers and acces to the dinnerparty
Both nights, after the training and tournament cool drinks, bites and dinner will be waiting for you so you can wind down and enjoy the good company of your water polo buddies.
€15 worth of drinks are included in your entry ticket to the party on Saturday. Any other drinks on Friday or Saturday night are not included. You will need to buy vouchers to pay for those drinks. Please note that you can only pay vouchers with Payconiq or Cash. Provide for enough cash OR prebuy your vouchers via this form!
Vouchers are expected to cost €1,50 to €1,75 per voucher.
Our current estimate of the price of drinks is:
Friday night Sunset Drinks 21:30 till 23:00

Detailed description of the options
Getting around Antwerp > Shared bikes from Blue-bike
Our venues are spread around the city. Public transport connections to and between these locations are often difficult. Walking is possible but will take a lot of time. Specifically Friday to reach the pool on the left bank of the Schelde it is easiest reached by bike: you can make use of the ferries or pedestrian(cyclist)tunnel to cross the river. We therefore recommend you use shared bikes (Blue Bike, Donkey Republic or Velo) or electric scooters (Bird, Poppy, Circ).
To make things easy for you you can rent a bike at the exclusive price of €10,30 for the entire weekend. We made a deal with Blue-bike (the Belgium shared bike scheme that has bikes present at over a 100 transport hubs around the country). You can pick-up and drop-off the bike at one of the main train stations (Antwerpen Centraal, -Berchem and -Zuid) at any time of the day with the vouchercode we will send you. Once picked up, you can keep the bike for the weekend without having to dock it after each ride. Be aware that you are responsible for keeping the bike in good shape, lock it properly each time and return it on Sunday June 16th by the latest, to the same location as where you picked it up. If not, you will have to pay a surcharge. The possible charges are stated here.
Hotel Proposal: Radisson Berchem
This hotel is perfectly located for an arrival by train (and car), is next to the rental location of Blue-bike at Berchem station and close to all venues on Saturday.
We have arranged a reduced fixed price for a two person room including breakfast at a rate of EUR145.00 per night for two people (or EUR72.50 p.p.p.n.).
Rather have a room on your own? That makes EUR130.00 per night.
Hosted Housing
Some of the Antwerp members have some spare space available. Places are limited to approximately 8 beds/matrasses/couches. Therefore, we would like to keep these reserved for the people who need this most. Please keep this in mind when opting in for hosted housing.
Cultural activities
We are considering organizing a cultural activity on Saturday and want to see if there is sufficient interest. There are two options (see below). The indicative price for each option is EUR35 per person.
- a guided queer tour of Antwerp. Think of a 2 hr tour through the city center, visiting queer highlights with a certified city guide.
- a guided queer tour of the KMSKA (Antwerp Museum of Fine Arts). Think of a 1.5hr guided tour of the museum during which you will look at classical art through a queer lens. The price includes a ticket to the museum, so you can explore freely after the guided tour if you want.
Brunch
We are considering organizing a communal brunch on Saturday or Sunday at around 11 AM and want to see if there is sufficient interest. The indicative price for brunch is EUR35.
Disclaimer:
By completing the subcription form you agree to participate for the full program at a price of maximum €80 for players or maximum €55 for partners. We will request payment in a few weeks when everything is fixed. In case of cancellation after completing this form, you will have to find a substitute or pay the participation fee.
Also take notice that Active Company Antwerp does not take responsibility in personal damages (loss of items or health related). Therefore we strongly encourage you to insure yourself for Medical or Liability cost/cases.
Lastly you agree to temporarily save the requested personal data in this form. This data is managed by Joeri de Visser (Club leader of ACA Water Polo) and will be shared with the organising committee as well as the responsible club leaders from your clubs to verify subscription. Data is removed later in 2024.
